Stars and Stripes 4-26-1968 Mob Power vs. German Establishment (Stars and Stripes)

This extended news analysis from the Washington Post appeared in Stars and Stripes a few weeks after the attempted assassination of student leader Rudi Dutschke and the riots that it spawned against the hated conservative Springer Press.

In many ways it is remarkably (but not totally) fair to the students and what drove them. It also notes how the Springer press pointedly compared themselves to Jews during the Weimar Republic and the students to the Nazis who called for the boycott of the Jews. An astonishingly offensive act of offensive, self-pitying hubris.
